Waterworld Hotel Bär

Quite simply, the indoor pool at the Bär offers sublime spa bliss. Its generously sized pool (18 x 8 m) is absolutely perfect for swimming. Come and immerse yourself in the world of the Jungle Book – Mowgli, Baloo the Bear and their friends create a pleasantly exotic atmosphere and are sure to delight your children. At the Bär indoor pool you’ll find yourself swimming alongside palm trees and enjoying magnificent all-round views of the natural surroundings through enormous windows. What’s more, the pleasant water temperature (30° C) creates a warm, sparkling setting in which the whole family can relax and splash about to their hearts’ content.

The Bär indoor pool connects directly to the Family Sp Area – a wonderful place for the whole family to relax! Here you can wind down with your children in the spacious Family Sauna and enjoy superb outdoor views from the Panoramic Sauna. The generously sized dimensions of the saunas at the Bär are quite deliberate: the feeling of space encourages users to feel free to talk with each other. What’s more, the sauna suite and passage from the indoor pool has been very tastefully decorated and features lots of warm colours.

The large and highly attractive paddling pool for babies and infants also features lots of water jets. Tiny tots can splash away here for hours and become engrossed in their water games to their hearts’ content. And at the same time, Mum`s and Dad`s can keep an eye on their children as they relax in the lounge area.

Another brilliant highlight for children is the superlative speed slide at the Bär (96 m) – simply climbing up the steps is a little adventure in itself. And once you get to the top there’s nothing left to stop you from taking the ultimate plunge into a magic world of water! Most of the long water slide runs through the outdoor area of the Bär, and the many twists will have kids screaming with delight and laughter.

Obviously, guests staying at the Bär also enjoy free use of the excellent Löwe Water Park –special changing rooms are also available. Within an enormous 1,000 m² area, Pirates’ World at the Löwe features a 10 m high water games tower as well as the Magic Eye – an enormous fun slide with tyres.

The large (15 x 6 m) outdoor pool at the Bär can be used by guests and visitors all year round thanks to its pleasant temperature (the water is heated to 33°C in winter and 30°C in summer). A passage from the indoor pool makes it easy to swim through even in winter. The Bär outdoor pool enjoys a superb location on the western side of the hotel, so it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains and the Komperdell – the skiing and hiking area around Serfaus. The mountain scenery always radiates its special charm, no matter what time of year, but particularly in winter. Just imagine how you’ll feel enveloped by a mystical atmosphere when you gaze upon snowy peaks as clouds of steam rise up all around you.

There’s also a little plunge pool for you to cool off at times. Spread across two floors, the spacious lounge area by the outdoor pool is the perfect place to soak up the many hours of summer sunshine in Serfaus. A children’s play area – partly with shelter from the sun – is located on the upper level. Equally impressive is the 96 m long giant slide, which winds its way through the arena of the Bär outdoor pool.

Kids Club Hotel Bär

Youngsters between three and 13 years of age can look forward to enjoying a wide range of exciting activities at the Bär Children’s Club, which covers an area of over 1,000 m². And an even greater number of outdoor activities await children and young teenagers in summer. You can rest assured that the Löwe & Bär always provides professional, all-round child care and supervision. The exclusive Kinderhotels® offer up to 90 hours of child care and supervision six days a week. Children and young teenagers are looked after Mondays to Fridays from 9 am to 9 pm. Child care times on Sundays are from 9.30 am to 9 pm.

Children between three and six years of age are looked after at the Mini Club (which opens at 8 am). Here they find everything a child can only dream of, from a five-storey soft play centre and giant climbing tower to a special crafts and creativity area. It’s a wonderful place for children to have fun with their new friends or simply relax. Starting at 10 am the Mini Club offers a wide range of children’s activities including a pirates’ day, Red Indians’ day, farm animals’ day, children’s barbecue, magic clown, crafts shop, beach party, the Murmli Trail, a treasure hunt and the “Mini Olympics”. Children’s shows at the Bär theatre are THE highlight of the week. What’s more, children can also learn to swim at the hotels’ very own Swim Academy at Löwe & Bär.

For older children, Löwe & Bär provide a varied programme of outdoor activities starting around 10 am from Monday to Friday. Children between seven and nine years of age are carefully supervised at the Kids Club where the exciting activities on offer include a pirates’ puzzle, the climbing wall, smugglers’ night, a treasure hunt and of course the children’s show. And there’s always plenty of action when they go rafting or abseiling down ravines. The programme of activities includes a sleep-over in an alpine hut, the giant Skyswing and the Adventure Mountains (with the Witch’s House and Explorer’s Trail) as well as the hotels’ very own School of Magic.

Children over the age of 10 and young teenagers can look forward to lots of exciting outdoor activities at the Teenie Club. From Monday to Friday they can try out all kinds of sports under the watchful eye of their supervisors and see how good they are at activities ranging from climbing, inline skating and mountain biking to smugglers’ adventures, ball games, canyoning and climbing in the forest high ropes garden. An outstanding highlight of the week is the staging of the children’s show in the Bär theatre. The Teenie Club is never boring – your children can look forward to a week of amazing adventure at Löwe & Bär!

The Bär Theatre:

The Bär theatre consists of a large entertainment hall with a professionally equipped show stage for children and a spacious area which slopes away for the audience. It’s the multimedia entertainment centre at the heart of the Bär! Here there are regular screenings of popular children’s films – this is 3D children’s cinema at its best! In fact, the Bär is the first Kinderhotel® to offer its guests an in-house 3D cinema.

From little theatrical and mini playback performances through to magic and fashion shows, the Bär theatre is regularly transformed into a genuine show stage on which children are the true stars. At the end of the week’s holiday they can proudly present to their parents what they have playfully learned under the guidance of their child care workers. And after each performance, parents are inevitably left feeling just as proud of their children. The children’s shows at the Löwe & Bär theatre truly are the highlight of the week for the whole family!

Softplay Facilities:

There’s absolutely no doubt that the highlight of the Bär Children’s Club is the superb 5-floor soft play centre. Children can look forward to the delights of a gigantic 5-floor slide, a further smaller slide and many adventurous crawling tunnels. Thrilling games and climbing opportunities also beckon at the 5-floor climbing tower, making it an absolute highlight for children.

Saloon:

Upon request we also offer supervised lunches and evening meals at the Bär. And where could children have more fun than at the Lucky Luke Saloon inside the Bär? The saloon has more than a touch of the Wild West about it – Young visitors have to pass through swing doors at the entrance and the interior appears to have come straight out of the Lucky Luke comic series.

Have you, for example, ever eaten in a stagecoach? Well, your children have – in the highly original Lucky Luke Saloon – which offers just the right setting for adventurous youngsters! Secure in the knowledge that your children are being superbly cared for at the saloon during lunchtime and the evening meal, Mums and Dads may very well want to seize the opportunity to enjoy a romantic meal together. And where better to do so than in the cosy, tranquil atmosphere at the Bär restaurant.

X-Trees Fun Zone

X-Trees Fun Zone is the name of the forest rope course in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. It ensures climbing pleasures for the whole family. Well-equipped and well-secured with helmet and climbing harness, young and old can independently seek their own level of adventure, just as their hearts desire, exploring and conquering in the treetops.

At heights of up to 14 metres above the ground, courageous ones climb from platform to platform through the web of branches, mastering, scrambling, groping, balancing and hoisting themselves over artificial obstacles with resounding names like “Spider Net” or the swinging “Indiana Jones Bridge”. The icing on the cake is a whizzing ride on the “Flying Fox” to zip you back to earth. And just in case that still doesn’t cool you off, you can climb back up again, along a different route.

Murmli Water
The water playground Murmli Water near Komperdell middle station is a 15,000 m² big area. Because of ecological reasons the torrent flowing there has not been changed, so it was involved as the central element in the area. Leading figure of the whole park is “Murmli” the Serfaus children’s mascot which is rich in tradition and got his name from the marmots that are pretty noticeable in the region.

The park consists of numerous interactive stations grouped around the torrent. There are clay ponds, pillow pumps, sand playgrounds, stones, land slide hills, water stairs, a Murmli spiral, a cliff labyrinth, playhouses and a Murmli lighthouse with a picnic area. Children can design the area even more interesting with stone dams and diversions planned on their own.

In the middle of a lake you can find a marmot cave. An elaborate system of caves, 200 metres long, provides an insight into the hidden world of the four-legged terrestrials. In the underground it’s dark and so also in the marmot cave. If you are concerned to loose orientation while roaming through the tunnels you can give a sigh of relief because of the exits every 15 to 20 metres.

Close to the Murmli Water there is also a marmot enclosure with real marmots. Young and old alike can watch five or six of them.

At a central position of the park there is a relaxation zone with sun loungers for the parents brought by the children. It is placed higher with a free sight on all playing stations. The parents can follow the loud dirt battles in the clay pond but they are not allowed to intervene. After all it’s the world of the kids.
