The Kinderhotels philosophy

The Original Kinderhotels Europa have stood for magical vacation moments for the whole family for more than 35 years.

The member hotels, which are located in three European countries (Austria, Italy and Croatia), focus on unique and individual highlights to delight their guests. The usual high Original Kinderhotels Europa quality standards are constantly monitored.

All establishments have been awarded four or five stars and, in addition to excellent service, also impress with the highest level of comfort and amenities at a first-class level.

Each of the family-run hotels sees itself not just as a simple member, but as part of the Original Kinderhotels Europa family, in which very special values are lived and which benefits from the exchange of experience and expertise of each individual.

In this way, the Original Kinderhotels Europa also ensure that new products and services are constantly being developed.

Quality before quantity

The hotel group favours “class over mass” when selecting its member hotels. There may have been nearly 100 Kinderhotels in 1998, but now the numbers have been more or less halved. This reduction ensures that partner hotels are implementing the specified criteria, so that the group can guarantee them. Strict quality control may slow growth, especially in new European Union member countries, but offers guests the greatest possible assurance that their families will receive the best possible care.

The future lies ahead

In future, the aim is to expand the number of Original Kinderhotels Europa locations to four or five countries in Central Europe. However, the motto remains: "Quality before quantity".

For Managing Director Gotthard Schöpf, continuous growth is the key to success: "There should be a maximum of 50 Kinderhotels in the next ten years."

Babys, Kids and Teens

All carers are trained within the Group and receive continuing professional development to ensure that child-care quality continues to develop too. We place great emphasis on the ability to communicate in several languages with young children. Our own training system ensures that member hotels are able to offer a varied, age-appropriate programme for all children, from babies to teenagers.

Special offers for children

Many member hotels have specialised in care of babies from just a few days old and offer the ultimate in care for brand-new parents, with a choice of HIPP baby food, baby care packs in rooms, a baby paddling pool and a doctor on call 24 hours a day. Teenagers don’t have to settle for toys and a paddling pool either. Many Kinderhotels have close ties to outdoor activity centres and sports specialists, who offer a range of exciting activities, such as mountain biking, climbing, or horse riding.
Littler tearaways don’t get bored at Kinderhotels. When the weather is fine, little ones and their carers explore the countryside together and learn interesting information about the woods and fields. If it rains, there are spacious play areas, children’s pools, magic schools or a children’s theatre to keep them entertained.

Wellness for the family

Initially attention was very heavily focused on the children’s wellbeing, but now Kinderhotels targets the family as a whole. Experiencing things together is just as important as “me” time for parents, or time together as a couple and if you know your children are being well cared for, you can relax and enjoy your holiday.

Active family holidays

The varied programmes of sports and activities offered by Kinderhotels also provide adults with a wide range of fun activities and exercise, such as hiking, Nordic walking, climbing, rock climbing, cross-country skiing, horse riding and much more. Many Kinderhotels also offer superb wellness areas where exhausted adults can recharge their batteries with massages and treatments.

Wellness for stressed parents

Mum and dad will not only rediscover themselves, but also the joy of being a couple in the treatment rooms, sauna complexes and stylish quiet areas. Whilst the little ones learn to swim with Fred the frog, or invade the spectacular pool complexes, parents can enjoy real peace and quiet. Mum and dad can also rekindle their romance with a candle-lit dinner, while their offspring enjoy dinner with friends at the children’s table.
