The water playground Murmli Water near Komperdell middle station is a 15,000 m² big area.
The park consists of numerous interactive stations grouped around the torrent. There are clay ponds, pillow pumps, sand playgrounds, stones, land slide hills, water stairs, a Murmli spiral, a cliff labyrinth, playhouses and a Murmli lighthouse with a picnic area. Children can design the area even more interesting with stone dams and diversions planned on their own.
In the middle of a lake you can find a marmot cave. An elaborate system of caves, 200 metres long, provides an insight into the hidden world of the four-legged terrestrials. In the underground it’s dark and so also in the marmot cave. If you are concerned to loose orientation while roaming through the tunnels you can give a sigh of relief because of the exits every 15 to 20 metres.
Close to the Murmli Water there is also a marmot enclosure with real marmots. Young and old alike can watch five or six of them.
At a central position of the park there is a relaxation zone with sun loungers for the parents brought by the children. It is placed higher with a free sight on all playing stations. The parents can follow the loud dirt battles in the clay pond but they are not allowed to intervene. After all it’s the world of the Kids.
The upside-down cottage is the finale of a story entitled The Witch’s Trail. Entering the cottage you remark that also the furnishings do a headstand. The Witches’ Trail has lots of riddles and challenges but also fabulous phenomenons ready which have to be solved with skill and resourcefulness.
Kids have to recognize strange noises and sounds, for instance, and balance on or climb over obstacles. They see strange doors, chairs and mirrors hanging in the trees. Situational thinking, creativity and perseverance are required of the children before they finally reach the witch’s cottage. Here they discover the story behind the story. The witch Grisbella Glockenkuss tried an experiment, and something went wrong. Her cottage flew up into the air and landed upside down on the ground. The objects that the children came across during their journey, lying on the ground or hanging in the trees, that formed part of the mystery, were all from her Cottage.
A mysterious tree house and the strange appearance of larger-than-life animals and plants have led to a major investigation being launched in part of a wood near the little village of Ladis. Plans are now in place to send out children’s search parties from the start of summer to investigate the area surrounding the tree house and to find an explanation for these puzzling occurrences.
At the start the children only know that a mysterious tree house has been discovered in the wood. On the way to the tree house they have to acquire the skills of a trapper to solve many tasks and deal with lots of adventures. They encounter giant snails, see the world from the perspective of an ant, have to recognise animal tracks and touch and feel animal skins in order to close in on the tree house. The tree house which the youngsters eventually discover is probably everything a child could wish for and testifies to the inventive mind of an eccentric scientist.
Guests of the Tyrolean holiday region Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis discovered the wreck of a crashed plane on a clearing at an altitude of about 2,000 m near the Komperdell in Serfaus. This two-seater, stuck halfway in the ground in the middle of the mountain meadow – almost up to its cockpit –, is part of an adventure story created for children of different age groups by Thomas C. Brezina, an Austrian television presenter and author of children's and young adult literature. These storys are offered in the programme of the Adventure Mountains.
Biking is summer’s alternative to skiing. For beginners and advanced bikers, the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis Family Region with the new bike park next to the Waldbahn cable car station has created the perfect range of opportunities for mountain biking, a sport which is becoming more and more popular. From the first tentative downhill attempts to the giddy adrenalin rush: the Bikepark Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis offers just the right trail for all age groups and all levels of ability.
Bikes and protective gear for children and adults alike can be hired at the bike shop at the Waldbahn valley terminal. There are also well-trained guides waiting to help with those first attempts and teach riders, young and old, all the necessary tricks to race down the trails safely and have a really great time.
The Kids Park and Training Area near the valley terminal offer plenty of opportunities to become familiar with the sports equipment. The Waldbahn cable car is a quick and easy way to get both bikes and riders to the start of the trails where – as with skiing – there are descents for every level of difficulty: from blue (easy) to red (medium) to black (expert). At the end of an exciting day in the bike park, there are cold drinks and delicious snacks waiting for the hungry riders in the Chill Area.
A walking and relaxation trail for the whole family was built around the lake “Wolfsee”, a water reservoir in a fantastic location in Fiss. The entire trail is flat and safe so that families can use this trail even with buggies and it is well-suited for wheelchair users alike. There are little resting places for you to relax: around 40 ergonomic loungers, hammocks in addition, hanging chairs or feather chairs serve the walkers to intensively enjoy the nature and take in the mountains.

Your screen shows you your current position and your next target on an aerial photo. At every station you receive new codes to type into your smartphone. The goal is to follow the tracks of Mr Petz to finally find the secret of the mysterious Bear treasure.
The 1.5 kilometres long adventure trail starts below the Komperdell midway station, stretches around the nearby water reservoir and leads back to the starting point. On the way, there are 26 stations with objects and information boards explaining the history of Serfaus and how it developed from a poor farming village to a silver mining place and finally to one of the most famous holiday destinations of the Alps.
As witnesses of the time, the stations feature different objects from the rural culture, as for example scythes, hay forks or rakes. If you want to take a break in between you can relax on the feeding troughs and hay carts which were remodeled into resting places.
