Run by families for families, Martina and Simon Schiefer welcome you to their new family-friendly hotel, supported by Simon Schiefer’s parents, Maria and Simon Senior—the family has been rooted in Flachau for several generations and runs its own farm there.

The Simihof: A children's petting zoo with 382 animals
Atthe heart of our family-owned farm is the Simihof: 382 animals—including alpacas, rabbits, chickens, sheep, ducks, goats, and ponies —are waiting here to be fed and petted by your children. Part of the daily childcare takes place right in the petting barn—so interacting with animals is a regular part of the daily schedule at the Schiefergut Family Resort, not just an optional activity.
Water World with Infinity Pool and Tube Slide
A heated infinity pool with mountain views, a natural swimming pond, a separate children’s swimming area, and a 34-meter-long tube slide with a timer await you—water fun that challenges both kids and parents alike. If you’re looking for some peace and quiet in between, you can retreat to the separate adults-only wellness area with saunas and relaxation rooms.
Child Care According to the Competence Academy Standard
Childcare is available for four hours a day and is open to your children ages 2 and up, split between the hotel and the daycare center. This is complemented by the brand’s signature children’s hotel programs: At Smiley’s Swimming School, even the youngest children learn to get comfortable in the water; at Smiley’s Cooking School, your children get to cook for themselves; and at the Diaper Ski School, even two-year-olds take their first steps on skis.

From our farm to your table
In the kitchen, regional sourcing isn’t just a marketing promise—it’s a way of life: the breakfast eggs come from our own chickens, and the cheese is made with milk from our own cows. Fresh bread, honey, dairy products, and beef also come from the surrounding area. The Dorfalm menu features regional specialties à la carte, a special “Simi” kids’ menu for your children, and if you’d like to cook for yourselves, you’ll find the necessary ingredients in the hotel’s own village store.
