At the Schiefergut Adventure World, a vacation becomes a real adventure for kids. Here, children discover with all their senses what a “real experience” means—at the petting zoo, where they can pet and feed the animals. At the playground, where they can climb, slide, and—in winter—take their first turns on the mini-ski slope. At the natural pond, which is just there—ready for a jump in when summer calls. And in the supervised workshop, where little hands build big things.
Four hours of childcare daily are included—for children ages 2 and up. Two hours at the hotel, two hours outside at the children’s farm. Children exploring. Parents free to relax.
Simon grew up on the farm in Flachau; he knows every nook and cranny here, every season, and is a passionate farmer.
Maria and Simon Sr. have shaped the farm over many years with great dedication and love. Today, Martina and Simon run the Schiefergut. Maria continues to be there for the guests, and Simon Sr. helps out in the barn.
Martina brings a love of detail and ensures that guests feel welcome—in the restaurant, the village store, and the resort.

Summer
Flachau ist ein Ort für alle, die gern draußen sind. Sanfte Wege im Tal, aussichtsreiche Höhenwanderungen und viele Routen, die auch mit Kindern gut machbar sind. Am Schiefergut beginnt das Wandern direkt vor der Tür. Ohne lange Anfahrten. Ohne Planung. Einfach losgehen und schauen, wohin der Weg führt.
Nach der Wanderung wartet das Schiefergut. Barfuß durch die Wiese. Abkühlung am Naturbadeteich (im Sommer). Oder einfach ein ruhiger Platz zum Sitzen.
Kinder sind draußen unterwegs, Eltern lehnen sich zurück. Kein Programm, kein Zeitdruck – nur das gute Gefühl, draußen gewesen zu sein.
Winter
Skifahren dort, wo alles nah ist. Flachau zählt zu den bekanntesten Skigebieten im Salzburger Land und das aus gutem Grund. Breite Pisten, moderne Lifte und ein Skigebiet, das für Familien ebenso passt wie für geübte Skifahrer.
Am Schiefergut beginnt der Skitag entspannt. Ohne lange Wege. Ohne Hektik. Am Ende unserer großen Wiese liegt die Talstation Achter Jet und somit der direkte Einstieg ins Skivergnügen – und für die Kleinsten wartet der erste Hang gleich am Haus.
Langlaufen und Winterwandern direkt vor der Haustüre
Manchmal braucht es keine Gondel. Nur frische Luft, knirschenden Schnee unter den Schuhen und einen Weg, der einfach losgeht. Vom Schiefergut aus startet ihr direkt auf die Loipe oder auf einen geräumten Weg durch verschneite Felder. Kein Stress, kein Trubel. Nur ihr, der Atem in der klaren Luft und dieses gute Gefühl, draußen zu sein.

The heated infinity pool is open-air—with a view of the Salzburg mountains. Here, you can simply let yourself drift. For the little ones, there’s a separate children’s swimming area—well-organized, for splashing, laughing, and playing in the water until their fingers are all wrinkled. There’s also plenty of action on our 34-meter-long tube slide with a timer. For the little ones, we have a mini-slide for their first attempts at sliding.
