From your room you can see meadows where cows graze in front of the hotel for the summer. Behind them the imposing peaks of the Dolomites shine. Here at the fresh altitude of 1,550 m you will feel freedom and space with every breath and enjoy absolute peace.
The entrance to the "Latemar" cable cars is right behind the Hotel Maria. This means you can reach 2,500 m without a care in the world in summer and winter.
Ski area & ski course: moments of happiness in winter. The Latemar ski area extends directly from the hotel with 50 km of perfectly groomed slopes and 18 lifts up to 2,500 m. Night skiing, toboggan runs, cross-country ski trails and snowshoe hiking trails round off the winter fun for the whole family. Cool kids love the snow park. The 2 children's ski bands and the ski school very close to the hotel are a paradise for the little ones. We will pick up your children directly from the ski course so that they can have lunch with us under loving supervision. The ski pass for children under 8 is free!

The beauty of the Rosengarten and Latemar massif enchants everyone. From our hotel terrace you can experience one of the most popular photo motifs every day in real time: the sunset and the dusk of the intensely glowing rock faces of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. The picturesque Carezza Lake, whose clear water reflects the unique mountain world, is just nearby.
The Hotel Maria is the starting point for mountain experiences with the whole family. From leisurely hikes, a tour through the Grand Canyon of South Tyrol (the Bletterbach Gorge) to via ferrata tours, everything is right on the doorstep. Landlord Christoph Kofler is a passionate mountain guide and explores the most beautiful peaks of the Dolomites exclusively with hotel guests on foot or by mountain bike.
Excursion destinations such as Bolzano and Merano guarantee fantastic moments even in summer.
Our rooms are built in the typical South Tyrolean style. The different room sizes cover all needs. Each room offers a fascinating panoramic view.
Hearty breakfast with bread from the local bakery, jams from Martell and South Tyrolean apples freshly pressed for you to make an energy-boosting fruit juice. In the afternoon you will be strengthened with a hearty snack. There is supervised lunch and dinner for the children. While the parents enjoy the gourmet menu, the children can play within sight. We cook fresh food every day and can of course cater to your intolerances.
