With us there are no fixed arrival and departure times - we are happy to adapt to you and your plans as far as possible.
Hosts with heart, tradition and lots of experience
We are proud that our family is one of the 4 founding families of the Kinderhotels and frankly, it was my merit, because vacationing with me was simply very tedious. That's what led to the aforementioned foundation. Of course, as a host family we also spend time on organization and office work, but we prefer to be out and about in nature with our guests. I (Peter) do fish trips, pirate boat trips, explorers on the lake, M-bike tours and children's climbing, my mother Eva hikes to the surrounding mountain pastures, my father Uli does the floating lake crossing and fish smoking. Our new Linde double room is ideal for your vacation as a couple or with a child (comfortable extra bed or crib). In the completely newly renovated room you will find the spacious, comfortably furnished bedroom with oak parquet flooring, an anteroom and a modern bathroom with a large family shower, towel warmer, underfloor heating and changing table.

Without carpeting, the room is ideal for allergy sufferers.
Double room Linde without balcony
Our double room Linde is ideal for your vacation for two or with a child (extra bed). On 22m² you will find the spacious, comfortably furnished bedroom, an anteroom and a separate bathroom/WC. The extensive facilities include radio, satellite TV, telephone, hairdryer, bathrobes and towels.

Casual summer days with cool people characterize family vacations with teenagers at the Ferienhotel Post. Around Lake Millstatt and the Nockberge mountains, there are numerous opportunities to have fun together and enjoy an exciting vacation with teenagers in Austria.
The pirates have discovered the Familienhotel Post on Lake Millstatt and regularly set out into the lake with their children's pirate team. In search of the buried gold treasure on the deserted southern shore.
Exclusively and free of charge for families from the Familienhotel Post and Villa Postillion am See, excursions on Thursdays and Sundays, duration approx. 2 hours. Depending on weather conditions until the end of October.
As K.u.K. Hoffischer, our family has been closely connected to the lake and nature on a daily basis for over 100 years. The lake not only provides a habitat for countless fish, but also for many small creatures, copepods, rotifers, bosmina, volvox,... ... We take our research boat to the southern shore of Lake Millstatt and examine the water on the boat and on the shore on the spot
On the sun-drenched southern side of the Alps, not only does the summer last longer, but with the temperature advantage, life also takes place preferably outdoors. From mid-May to the end of September, we open the 1st beach club for children right next to the bathing area at the Familienhotel Post. Your children will be lovingly looked after in the secure area and will find plenty of sand to build castles on

We have 4 climbing routes in our play and sports hall. Whether you're a first-timer or a semi-professional, our little guests have lots of fun
Guided family hike on the Jufen once a week. The trail is not suitable for baby carriages, but is easily accessible with back carriers or slings. Ascent: around 35 minutes.
