THE ISLAND OF LOŠINJ
Lošinj Island, tucked away in the Kvarner region of northern Croatia, is a mix of turquoise seas, pine tree forests and quaint historic towns and villages. Lošinj is the greenest of the 36 islands of the Cres-Lošinj archipelago of northern Croatia It is dotted with small historic towns and villages, the bigger main town Mali Lošinj and its older but smaller neighbouring town Veli Lošinj. Mali Lošinj is a small and picturesque town with pastel coloured buildings, and harbour side fishing boats that reflect its maritime history dating back to the 12th century.
